Sayed Haider RAZA

Sayed Haider Raza was born in 1922, in India

He lives and works in India.

 

In 1952, he arrived in Paris and studied at the National School of Fine Arts. His carreer takes now place between Paris and India.

 

In his work, Raza sets up a sacred imagery – such as abstract diagrams, the Bindu – from which first emerge the light, then shapes and color, as well as energy.

 

His artworks are part of the most important public collections – such as the National Museum of Modern Art in Paris, and the Centre for International Contemporary Arts, New-York – and private ones.

 

Sayed Raza is exhibited at the Virgile Legrand Gallery and created an artist book which has been published in twelve copies.

Sayed Haider Raza est né en 1922 en Inde.

Il vit et travaille en Inde.

 

Arrivé à Paris en 1952, Raza intègre l’Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts. Sa carrière se déroulera ensuite entre Paris et l’Inde.

 

Dans son œuvre, Raza met en place une imagerie sacrée, tels les diagrammes abstraits, le Bindu, d’où naît d’abord la lumière, puis les formes et les couleurs, mais aussi l’énergie.

 

Ses œuvres figurent dans les principaux lieux d’art contemporain d’Europe, d’Amériques, d’Asie et dans de grandes collections publiques (Musée National d’art moderne, Paris;  Centre for International Contemporary Arts, New-York ) et privées.

 

Sayed Raza expose à la Galerie Virgile Legrand et a réalisé pour notre galerie un livre d’artiste publié à douze exemplaires.
