Daniel Dezeuze was born in 1942 in Alès, France. He grew up in Montpellier where his father, himself a painter, taught him drawing and painting. He studied Spanish at the University of Montpellier while being a part-time student at the School of Fine-Arts. When he was 20, in 1962-63, he was head of the Alliance Française in the Asturias in Spain.
